Cartoon Violence comes from late winter 2025, a time when I was finding it harder to pick myself up off the floor to do even the most basic tasks. I thought back on all of the meditation and self-help advice I had accumulated over the years and I wanted to throw it all into a mental incinerator. I wanted to forget it all and just lay there. My partner laid a blanket over me and left the house, and I laid in the dark until the absurdity of the situation forced me to get up and noodle on the guitar until a country song came out.
