TEN YEARS OF PIDJI (ANNIVERSARY EDITION)
NATURE'S NEIGHBOR
RELEASED: 7.31.2026
Pigeon Infirmary Records is proud to announce Ten Years of Pidji, the first in a series of reissues honoring Nature's Neighbor's Nanchang Trilogy. Comprising Pidji (2016), Drawing in Pen (2017), and Ur (2019), the trilogy was shaped by Mike Walker's years traveling between Chicago and Nanchang, China, his collaboration with Cheer Zhao, and a period of profound personal and musical change. As its opening and most grounded chapter, Pidji expanded the band's indie-rock foundation through increasingly ambitious arrangements. A decade after its original release, the album has been newly remixed by Chicago engineer and musician Dorian Gehring, working from the original 2015–2016 Pro Tools sessions under one condition: no new layers. The result brings renewed clarity to the record while preserving the performances and character of the original. Following final adjustments in Chicago and mastering by Amar Lal, Ten Years of Pidji offers not a reinvention, but a re-illumination of an album that remains a vivid document of collaboration, travel, love, and change.
